CDTi running temp ?

Quick question.
Ive got a Signum CDTi 120bhp.
What temperature should it run at ?
My temp gauge sits on 80 for most of the time, sometimes creeps upto about 90 ish .... is this normal ?

Now then, interesting thread.

My temperature gage never goes above about 72-73, the only time it does is when I have the heater on cold, and then it only goes upto about 78(ish) no more, never been above 80 ever.

Always thought that was normal....

mines the same except in heavy traffic where it creeps up to half way

Cheers guys. Im just being over cautious.

Ive just had the water pump/cam belt replaced...after the pump seized !! Just making sure the overheating hasnt caused any other probelms.

40000 miles, and the water pump was seized solid.

I have a 1.8 Ecotec (petrol) - but it sits about "90" constantly.

Question is, is this normal ?

Nothing wrong with that mate.

Most thermostats in cars are 80deg , so that is the correct temp for the car to run at.
