Default Are hid"s to blame for the fogging..

am quite fed up of this now,for the second time in a week i totally de-fogged the face lifts h/lights,dryed them out and once again this morning there fogged again,do hid bulbs burn/run hotter than normal h7 bulbs?
when i mean fogging.....its like years ago before double glazing came out,you would wake up on a morning and have condensation running down your old style house windows that then formed a pool on the sill.really bad.if i go to the trouble and expense of buying two new h/light units are they still just going to fog up?

Just a thought, is the moisture getting in through where you had to drill the hole to run the new wires through into the rear of the light fitting?

i made a small cut in the rear of each rubber h/light cover to feed the wires through but sealed in back up with silicone sealer.

you need to take the back caps off and leave your lights on for a while so the water heats up and turns back to vapour, most off it will then escape through the removed back cap hole, once you have done this get a small bag of silica like you normaly get with new shoes and things like that (little white bag) and pop this inside your headlight and put back cap back on, iv done this with all mine and not had prob since.
