    Question Laptop Keyboard

Does anyone know how to get the degrees C symbol on an IBM laptop keyboard. I know it's Alt + 0186 on a pc keyboard (using numberpad to the right) but the laptop is not having it!

Got a document to finish and this is holding it up!

    Cheers,

    Paul.

    - called Character Map under the Programs>Accessories>System Tools. That's on XP BTW. If you're using Vista then I'm not sure if that has the same?

Interestingly Alt 0186 works if I use the numeric keypad, but if I use the numbers above the QWERTY bit then it doesn't! So what solorider said above may me what the reason is - i.e. you need to press a couple of keys to activate the 'numeric keypad' on the laptop. Assuming that is that you've got a numeric keypad on the laptop where the numbers are next to various letters? That's probably more faff and the Character Map way I'd reckon is much quicker.
