    Angry i have a clunk

on monday clonking appeared,it only happens when pulling off ,forwards or reverse, sometimes you also get a clonk when braking, there are no visual signs something is wrong but i have not had chance to get the car jacked up,there are no issues once moving, anyone have any ideas?

the clunk sounds like it is coming from the passenger side and to some extent can be felt through the floor

checking the cars mot and service history,my car failed an mot on 08/03/08 saying "nearside front lower suspension arm has excessive play in a ball joint" ,the mot was doe by nationwide autocentres,on the same day i have 2 bills showing £42.40 for steering and £147.31 for suspension.i would say they fitted a pattern arm as a genuine arm is that price without labour, but it should not of failed within 17k miles,it was done less than a year a go,hopefully i may be able to get in contact with nationwide and get their invoice number and get it replaced under guarantee (that is if it is the arm)

well the clonk is coming from the passenger side footwell,i cannot find what is causing it,the only thing i have not been able to check the n/s engine mount, all suspension mounts look ok,anti roll bar mounts and link rods are ok with no play, would the subframe move on the back edge? this happens when you pull off and also to some extent when braking,it does not do it when moving nor when easing off the throttle and flooring it.
