can you fit a 2.2 throttle body to a 1.8 as a friend of mine did it on his rover mg but his was a 1.8 to a 2.0l throttle body if so what do you need to do or is it a specialist thing for a mechanic to do

Im not sure on that mate I know you can fit a 2.4 TB to the 2.2 some one will be along to let you know

I do have to say I want Ian_cs car the I500 Is The Dogs ****** really nice mate and Andy.ls Signum spot on all of them great day it even started snowing
i'vr seen ians i500 it really is a mint car a love it as well
they are quite differant i think so i doubt they would fit
its the electical bit i would think would be hard to get around
worth asking a surposse a was'nt sure my self thats why a thought i'd ask people that may know something about it
The 2.4 Tb will not work on the 2.2, I know cos I have one as a paper weight in my cellar. The air flow doesn't match the predicted airflow so the car goes into limp. Courtenay Sport are trying to make a map for it, but I think there having some problems. All you can really do is port and polish the TB, intake manifold and possibly the Head.
