Default Another auto folding mirror question

I have been offered an auto folding mirror at a good price. Only problem being it is a memory one, and i dont have the memory seats. Is this an issue? I will obviously be chaning the ddm anyway.

Also does anyone know if as it is the memory one this will have the dimming mirror as standard? (or is it not that simple)

    Thank you in advance

    Stephen

I don't think it will be an issue. I'm pretty sure the plug will be the same one that will be on your loom. If it helps, I can post a pic of my wiring loom plug as I have memory seats - so you can compare it to yours.

It's unlikely to have the dimming glass as standard, whether it has the dimming glass wiring in it is down to the specific part. When I did the folding mirror upgrade, the housing I got had the wiring for the dimming mirror as it was the part listed that I needee with me having memory seats. All I then had to do was get the glass, plug it in and I had dimming door mirror - again because I had the relevant wiring in the loom. I don't know if that loom was the same in all models though. With minr being memory seats it had the higher spec DDM and loom (if there is a difference there).

If you could post a pic that would be great.

Do you have the part number for the casing with auto dimming? (sorry if this has been posted before.)

    Thank you again

The plug on the driver's door loom...

... and the wiring in the mirror housing. It's the passenger side I know, but it's the only pic I have. I'm pretty sure it was the same wiring on the driver side.

Part number was 24440039 - that is the driver's side housing for memory seats and dimming mirror.
