Default Quicky! Tyre preasure on 1.9CDTi + 19s?

    Hi,

Was reading my owners maunal last night... it only gives preasure upto 18inch wheels on the 1.9 CDTi.

Does anyone know what it should be for mine? Its a 150 manual SRi? 235/35/19s

    Cheers

    Mike

Hi Mike - page 301 of the Vectra Owners Manual lists tyre pressures for Vectra VXR with 19's.

42 + 38 psi for front / rear with load of upto 3 people.

Yeh i read that.... but thats a heavier car??

It only lists 18s and 17s as 33psi on the 1.9 CDTI... hence my confusion? Surely its weight related??

    Cheers

Mine used to be 42... But that feels like driving on concrete wheels. I'd go for 40 front, 38 rear and see how it feels.

I'm running 40F 36R when lightly loaded, which seems to work well.

OMG! So i went to check tyre preasure.. it was set at 35psi all round! So ive set it to 40psi all round!

What a transformation, i cant believe what a difference it makes! Hardly and wander now, and the rides softer? I guess thats because the suspension is cussioning now rather than the tyre wall?

    Lesson learned!

    Cheers

TIS says the correct tyre pressure is 270kpa (2.7 bar) front and 240kpa rear (2.4 bar) using 235/35 19 and a load upto 3 persons
or in good old imperial 39psi front and 35psi rear

    hope this helps
