    Default Got a BB...

Was fancying a new phone so away i went to the o2 shop and came out with the new Blackberry curve 8900. Seems a good bit of kit but for the life of me I can't setup my emails or work out how the supposedly built in GPS works, can't even find it lol

    Default Blackberry

    Hi Gary,

    1) The GPS is only the module not the software.

    2) The e-mails wont work until your blackberry is setup via technical support at o2 (customer services should be able to sort this out for you) and also while you are on the phone to them, make sure your price plan has got the instant-email package on it, without this your e-mails wont work and you will suffer data charges on your a/c.

Sorry for sounding like a geek, i sell them for a living.

The 8900 is a good phone, the bold 9000 is a little better with 3G and the Storm is the worst touch screen phone ever invented... ever!

VERY nearly went for that but was just a bit too pricey.

With the missus HTC Touch we had to download Google maps for the GPS. It's supposed to be pre installed but I couldn't find it.

Her browser on the phone is set by default to Opera which wouldn't download the maps but I.E. did. Only took 2 days to find that out.

Windows mobile is very good with her phone.

i have the curve, and i thinks its still the best blackberry out there. had the bold one when it came out and i had nothing but problems with it, running slow, had to keep switchin it on and off to get it to work, they sent me another one, so still the same, just asked for another curve in the end, and happy bunny tbh
