Default BIG prob with imobliser code!!!!!

    HI all
HELP took my 05 vectra c into the dealers to get my interior light fixed as it had stoped working .After some head scratching by the staff they said that the imobliser code for the that they had got from vaxhall was not being recognisd by the car the tec 2 was saying code invalid. there explanation for this was that at some time in its history this code had been reset (possobly if it had had a new set of keys). The outcome of this means that thay can not carry out any diagnostic work on the car and the only solution is for me to pay over £1000 to have all the acu's replaced and the car reprogramed. HELP!!

P.S have only had the car 4 weeks and got it from a car supermarket

    Ta for any advice

    As above mate.

If you don't get any joy, go straight to Trading Standards.
