Self reving V6

If I rev the car in N to say 3k then again to 4/5 it goes on itself to 6/6.5 not had the dangleys to let it go till it stops reving itself. I put the acelorator myself in to stop it is this normal?

(Manuel Gear box btw)

The air control valve might be sticking. What is it like on tick over?. Is that steady does it cut out when you come to a halt?. Have a read of this.

Its a bit lumpy on idle but nohin that alarms me like.

Only cut out once pulling off when i had it in 3rd ha ha
