    Default Irmscher Steering Wheel

    All,

Up for sale due to impending part ex. Irmscher steeering wheel finished in Alu, ideally suited to the SRI model as it matches exactly to the dash trim. It is boxed, 6 months old, excellent as new condition. Please check compatability with your car if you are interested.

The wheels rrp is well over £400 and i am wanting £250. I can accept paypal but please add 5% to cover their fees. Prefer cash and can meet to save on postage.

One of the members on here (drinky) has first dibs on the wheel so if he doesn't want it, it's up for grabs.

Is that a pre 05.03 or post 05.03 version Paul?

I'm not so sure it won't fit both Duncan. Mine is the old style push button wheel so will deffo fit that. It may also fit the newer roller style buttoned wheel as the space may be the same???

It was more to do with the fitment of the airbag in the wheel. They changed from 1 to 2 wire harness plugs in 05.2003.

But now that I've thought about it, it's irrelevant!! Whatever airbag version is in the car will just fit into the steering wheel! I'll get my coat!

Is the wheel smaller than the standard one then, or the same diameter? I've fancied a smaller wheel for tighter turning in.

I thought you were on about the stereo controls! The wheel is the same size D, just feels and grips more substantially.

In my facelift SRi the wheel is smaller than in my Astra Coupe Turbo and much chunkier. For me its one of my most favourite parts of the car, just the right size and feel. I dont know if these wheels (SRi facelift) are smaller than other vecs (havent had the chance to compare ooerr!), but can whole heartedly recommend one. looking at that piccie of the rather tasty irmy one, i would think that mine is the same size.

The facelift is fitted with the same steering wheel as the new Astra and is indeed smaller than the pre-facelift matey.
