After spending some time looking at mondeos i think i've decided it will be a beter option than the vectra 150. Not so impressed with the vx in the way that its either looks or toys (sri or elite), why can't you have both. I've been quite impressed with the 2.2 st cdti mondeo and performance figures are pretty good especially with a remap. Still not 100% sure but the mondeo does look to have much better spec with better performance.

out of the blocks the mondeos will win hands down a better feel and drive to the car ,it's only after the vectra is played with does it get out in front .

    brake upgrade
    shocks and springs
    then the vectra wins

so if your not going to mod the car in anyway the mondeo will be the better car for you ,take them both for a drive and see what you think of them both

remember the saleman will always try to get you to take the mondeo as he will have a bigger markup

I took a look a look at a couple of Mondeo sites & there was very little in the way of activity. I wonder is that a good sign or bad?.

do you think that was because they were out driving them instead of looking on the net to see how to fix something?lol

    Vehicle : Vectra SRi

I tried a ST-TDCI mondeo before I got my SRi150 and I thought the performance of the Vectra was better, in the end there was nothing in the Mondeo that warranted the extra £££'s over the Vectra, but the ST-TDCi mondeos do look good, however still have the usual swirl valve/MAF type problems - check out the ST Drivers forum to check.

Hi, the Mondeo is a 100% drivers car, it also has loads more kit than
the Sri ! the 2.2 tdci is a tadge quicker than the 2.0 tdci, but both units
are a bit gruff and do suffer with egr and software probs ! if you were to
compare the 3.0 petrol ST with VXR Vectra, then it gets closer on kit and
the vectra might be faster in a straight line, but the Mondeo will kick its butt
when it come to changing direction ! if you were to look at a non St mondeo wth the
2.2 unit and the 1.9 cdti 150, i would pick the Vectra ! IMO
