    confused anybody any idea

Having trouble with my 2.2 dti signum again.i had to get the recovery truck out last night the car broke down severel times, its seems that if the revs go below 10k on the rev counter the engine just stops, this being a auto means i have to put in neutral to fire it up again goes for a few yards and stops again this went on for about half a mile after that i called for recovery.any ideas would be welcome.

On my old 2.0 Ecotec Cav similar symptons were caused by the idle air control valve. Was quite scary letting off coming up to a roundabout and losing the engine.....

Anything similar on the 2.2 lump ?

As I recall on my 'B' the rocker box vent got clogged. There was a mod I fitted (small plastic in-line filter) & never had it happen again.
