    Default Headunit

    Guys

    12/04 Vectra C

Would this work? Thought about removing the factory headunit and replacing with a Double Din. This then poses the issue of being able to control the new headunit with the steering wheel controls. Also, the display in the computer screen. my other thoughts were that the headunit is not rectangular in shape and thus the buttons around the headunit.

Next I thought about the idea of removing the screen/aircon vents and doing a nice new install with the screen and a satnav screen next to it. The only things I see as a problem with this where to direct the air con vents and finding a Satnav screen to fit in that area.

Sorry if these questions have been asked in the past but I am a little dumb with some car stuff and available parts etc.

    Basically, am I dreaming?

Be careful what Double Din headunit you get matey. The space in the dash on the Vec is not square, it tapers in at the bottom. Speak to Leeds Vectra as he made his own adapter for his.

Would anyone mind showing me a pic of their stereo removed and a aftermarket one. Don't mind if it's single or double. As I said in my first thread, how do you get it working on the steering wheel and computer display?
