Anyone been to Egypt?

Finally decided this is our honeymoon location

However the place suggesed by travel agent hasnt got the best of reviews and theres so may hotels i wouldnt mind a personal recomendation

Looking for All inclusive 4/5 star Sharm El Sheik

Umm Egypt,been before and i must say it's a gem of a place to visit,and the people in general are very freindly,this was way back in 1992 ,Cairo as a city is a wonder to behold and the pyramids,but at this pressent moment in time without trying to allarm you,there are issues with westerners from uk lets say,that might not be made too wellcome because of recent issues in gaza.

We went to Eygpt years ago, stayed in the Etap at Luxor. That was pretty good from what I remember. Bladdy hot there though, 50 deg C in the summer.

I went to Egypt 2 years ago, Alexandria. I did the Nile Cruise with the GF, had a tour around the Pyramids and Valley of the Kings etc, I think they called it a Safari??? I really liked the place, except for the ****** flies and people trying to sell you something or someone! Its the kids you have to watch out for, they swarm you!

Very, very hot always carry at least 1itr of BOTTLED water with you, the kids will have there hand in you camera/handbag without you even noticing them. Do not eat from any stalls, only eat in the best hotels. Avoid ice in your drinks as you have no idea where the water came from!!! Have your eyes open all the time. Apart from all that a great place to visit as it really takes you back in time when you leave the main cities behind.

my m8 went and he hated it, he said there constantly looking at you thinking what they can rob of you and he would never go back there even if the holiday was free,the street seller are pestering you all the while trying to sell you crap or drag you in to there places for food or drinks, his girl friend was also very ill from the food over there

went there last summer and i can safely say i would never go back ever. was amzing to see the pyramids and swimming on the reefs and things but got the bug over there so was ill for 2 weeks constant so not my cup of tea.
