Caterman box and insurance

I'm toying with the idea of getting a caterman style box froma ebay for around £80 (there seems to be loads of different ones! No idea which to choose!)

I assume most people on here have told their insurance about theirs

but what sort of increase have you been charged?

I'm paying around £290 for a 2004 120 CDTI (38 year old with full NCB) and if its going to add more than 50 quid I'm not sure! With Admiral at the moment and they've been OK for price in the last few quotes.

Either nobodys told their insurance or everyones coy about what they're paying for insurance!

I added a DTUK ECO3 to my insurance, and it increased by £64 plus £10 admin fee. I'm 25 with 4 years no claims on a 1.9 CDTI 150. That is with Chris Knott

When I had mine fitted I notified Norwich Union and there was no increase..........result!

This is the sort of thing I would like to hear! Don't insurance companies ignore mods that increase power up to a certain %age?

I think my 120 would gain up to around 145 which is less than 20% gain!
