    Default Swirl valve motor

I've just finished fixing my swirl valves, or rather the motor. I bought a new motor and changed it over, i've attached a couple of pics where you can see the little plastic rod and ball joint had become detached from the motor arm probably because the little ball joint was very stiff in the socket. The motor is working perfectly but just not attached to anything so as far as the ECU is concerned everything is fine and shows no faults. I felt the car was down on power with a flat spot at 1800rpm, now the flat spot has gone and the car feels much more grunty. The whole job took about 3 hours.

A mate of mine is having problems with his car soon as the engine gets to 2000rpm it looses all power [ in all gears ] he has changed the egr twice and i was wondering it the swirl valve could be the problem.
