Hi all anyone know if the original exhaust fitted to the SRI (pre facelift) was stainless steel?

the flexi bit on the mid pipe has come away so need to look at changing it or repairing.

I thought my flexi bit had gone and looked at getting it replaced, after a quick inspection it was ok after all and had just dropped of one of the support brackets.

However my point.... a new down pipe with flexi was £250++++++

Then I found out that any good exhaust maker could weld in a new flexi pipe for between £80 and £100 for a stainless steel one.

Cheers mate, mine has come away at either end and spins quite happily tho it has no sign of corrosion at all, could this be linked to the exhaust fitment problem of sliding off?

The exhaust as far as im aware isnt stainless steel, it has a stainless steel cover around the backbox but it isnt neccessary, a vx mech told me that when they corrode or begin to fall off they just remove it from the back box
