    Angry dog found in road!!

    on way to work this mornin and at 5.45am i see a german shepard in road i get out put hazards on and its alive been run over and left was fumeing (am a dog lover) called police said cant attend have to wait for rspca i said it could cause a accident was laid over 2 lanes i cudnt leave it i managed to lift it to pavement was a cracking dog whilst waiting at 6.10ish 2 ladies came down who said would wait with it so i could get to work hope its going to be ok but the amount of people who just drove past and the t**t who left it after hitting it i could do time happily for it rant over

    Not a good start to the day !
    I bet it'll be playing on your mind all weekend due to some idiots recklessness. Probably still hung over from the 20 pints of lager they had last night !

    thats well bad how the hell could some one run a dog over and just leave the poor animal there in the road

    The driver who hit the dog should be dealt with but equally so should the owner of the dog. Just wondering why is it illegal to hit a dog and drive off yet if you hit a cat you don't need to stop.

    I can't believe the police wouldn't attend, that's terrible! At that time of the morning there is no excuse. If the driver is found he should be prosected as he has to report this legally to the police, that's why I can't believe they didn't attend. Glad you stopped for the poor dog, some people should, well I just can't say what I think really!

    DISGRACEFUL!

    I understand what you are saying but dogs escape! If you hit any of these you must report it,

    CATTLE, HORSE, ASS, MULE, PIG, SHEEP, DOG OR GOAT! God knows why only those but that's the law.

    Thats disgracefull I hit 2 sheep once on my way into work one morning,they just appeared on the road,i didn't know what to do,ended up calling the police and they took my details,nothing happened after that,felt really bad for days after.....

    Well you did the right thing mate and now you know if you hit any of the above to report it. Did it do much damage?

    Those ^ are your usual livestock and/or working animals.

    Things like cats and birds are classed as free-roaming and don't have to carry ID marks/collars, so aren't expected to be traceable once they've been flattened.
