Coming home today and i hit deep pot hole. It was so deep in fact that it ripped off my front mud flap and it was left dragging along the road

It's scratched the paint on the mud flap and patches have come off too . I dropped in at my mates garage at the end of my road and had a word and he said as he's got to redo part of my Irmy splitter, (small bubble)and he'll repaint my mud flap for me while he's there. Good news i suppose but could do without the hassel

I checked the wheel and tyre etc... and all seems fine there as i wasn't even going very fast when i hit it / fell into it

sorry to hear that. A guy from my work just hit a pot hole the other week in his vxr, £1000 for two new wheels (ouch) he has a claim in with the local council along with 25 other people,

Yea i know i'm quite lucky.

It would be difficult for me to put a claim in the my local council because i work there lol

I would say all the more reason. Take a few pics & measure the hole quick before they fill it & claim it wasn't there, you may not be the only claimant. They have insurance the same as you. What have you to lose.
