Default Roofrack, bike carrier, towbar options and help please

Guys im trying to find the best solution for carrying a mountain bike on the car? i have looked into the towbar option which is quite expensive at £210 + vat then i would need the bike rack attachment which would be another £60+

then looked at the roofrack option with the cycle carrier which i fancy as i think it would work out cheaper and i dont want one of these jobs that you hang off the back of the car as they look awful in my opinion:shocked

so if anyone has got any links they can post up with good deals of the roof carrier system and roofracks etc.....

go for the Original Vx roof bars and a Thule ProRide 591 bike carrier. It is the same as the Vx one but a little cheaper

I got the VX roof bars and the VX bike carrier (not the one with the arm to help you lift the bike off the ground). I think I have the right hand one though, goes above the driver, can't remember if it is right as you look from the front or the rear !!!!

The bars are T-Track and the bike rack had the T-Track fixings too.

Its a pity you are in Argyll as my roof bars are for sale in the For Sale thread somewhere having now got my Audi.

I am just looking to get some T-Track bars for my Audi as I like the Bike Carrier

    Cheers

The roof bars do, one for each roof anchor point (all the same lock !!!!), but the bike rack didn't you had to buy a separate barrel lock for it, but from VX though.
