    Default consendation in headlights

my n/s headlight had very bad consendation, the car only just scraped the mot with the headlight beam, today i decided to take the headlight off to fix the problem,(and clean the washer bottle as well) anyway there was a lot of water in the bottom causing the consendation,so i have drilled a small hole at the lowest point in the headlight so hopefully any water in the headlight will drain away,i have to fix the headlight leveling as well as it was not doing a lot,i found some dirt and a little corrosion on one of the pins, probably caused by the consendation so im hoping that this cures that as well

Good luck with that mate. Do you think it has anything to do with being a plastic unit as apposed to glass as I have never seen this mentioned as a possible cause? .

my be partly my fault as when i fitted my hid bulbs i made the hole in the rubber cap slightly too big, plus the windscreen wash filler is just above it as well

best way to get rid of that is to remove the entire headlight. take off the covers and leave it on top of your engine. when its hot obviously

i managed to get rid of it by leaving the headlight over a heater (it is one of those frost prorect heater with no fan),i did drain a lot of water out of it which did not help,i have had to order a new headlight anyway as the motor does not work and there is corrosion in the plug
