    heard on the radio GM are asking for $21billion to bail them out and are still looking to sell SAAB and are also looking to reduce staff by 47k worldwide...

    my vx dealer reckons the insignia is selling at +132% if you ordered one with 20 inch rims it wouldnt be on ur drive till may

    will the insignia do enough to keep vxl going

    Rumours I have heard are that it's 4 European plants that will get the chop. Saab to be sold off or closed.

    Ellesmere port (next gen Astra) and Russelsheim (Insignia) will continue, although some will lose their jobs.

    SAAB really are in the deepest poo-jam now. Apart from the problems affecting the car industry generally, SAAB in particular have operated at a loss for the last 10 years. It was GM money keeping them afloat and the Swedish Gov. wont lift a finger to save them. I think SAAB will be going the way of the Dodo very soon.

    Shame.... because I am really impressed with the build quality and car in general ( my rental that is ).

    You never know with these companies. I think they will be OK but they'll just slimline the company. Deadman, you're alive, not seen you about for a while! ALL OK? Think I saw your car the other day near Broadshires, looked very nice mate!
