do i just ave 2 rip it out?
I take it that you mean the 3rd Brake light, the one in the top centre of the hatch itself?
yeh sorry yeh 3rd brake light
You have to get to it from the back to remove it.
It means taking off the 2 rear window side trims, then remove the 4 studs from the lower edge of the trim panel. then undo the retaining screws in the centre of the panel and pull out hte centre pins of the rivets.
Then gently pull the panel away to release the remaining clips.
You then see the back of the brake light. A couple of inchs away from either end of the lamp is a locking clip. You have to squeeze each one in turn whilst at the same time pushing in the lug at each end.
You can then pull out the light.
HTH
ohh rite kinda a long process then.. i shall try it out 2moro and will let u no how it goes.
im goin vaux 2moro and no the guys there see if they are willing to help me out
hi some boot lids you cant get at from the inside
best to do what some said and rip it out.
or if you have 6 thin plastic wedges use the from the outside and try and push the metal clips in to release the light.
i thought so as i pulled half the trim out to look at it but it seemed to be access to the brakelight.. cause i can rip the old 1 out n push the new 1 in...?
Check out this link link
i finally done it.. there was no access from the inside so took the brakelight to pieces just to get it out lol
heres a pic
