    Default Stereo removal help?

recently bought a c elite with no radio code so i contacted vx and paid £20 for a new code only to find it's not the original stereo so obviously the code won't work, i phone my local vx dealer and they had a quick look but they couldn't remove it as the person that put it in have bent the pins! They want to charge me £40 plus vat for "removing the dash" my question is will i be able to get to the stereo by removing the centre console area and how hard is this?

Its a pain in the arse if the pins are bent, I went round to help one of the guys off here, being sure i would get it out but not a chance, He had to take the dash apart and break some it to get it out.... I tried to get mine out while there and it was stuck fast as well.

Pull the plastic tray out above cig lighter
Then slide climate control unit out and disconnect the plug/s at rear
pull the wooden strip off the dash ( just pops off)
then remove the torx head screws from around the graphic display and withdraw the unit and blower vents .
This should give enough room to get at it.
Should only take ten mins to remove the stuff I mentioned .

You can use anything to slide in the release slots , I used sparklers lol . Or a coat hanger .

Looks to me like the 4 grub screws are in place. They'll need to be removed with an allen key before you can shove the removal tool down the holes.
