    Default cars been keyed

i have about 3 , 6 inch scratches to the bonnet one of them is deep enough to show the white primer , i was just wondering is there a DIY method to this or is it gonna need a respray ? i was thinking of filling the scratches as best i could with a touch up and then t cutting. or is this a no no ? ideas anyone

i got mine back from a ford garage after the back bumper was resprayed and it had multiple scratches on it, one down to the primer...after a lot of polishing I got it to look better, but if you look you can still see it

i used the "chapstick" for some minor scratches near the door handle (previous owner must not have known how to use central locking!) on my Black Saphire , they are good short term on minor scratches but soon deteriorates. Wouldnt think it would cover anything Keyed m8

hope you get is sorted bud

Sorry to hear that mate, there is a thread on here somewhere about scratch repairs kits from a company called "paints4u" IIRC. That might be a cheap option but I wouldn't think it would look anywhere as good as a respray.

It's a fact that most NEW cars have had repairs done to them before they even hit the showroom, deep scratches, damaged body panels (and worse). there are companies out the who specialise is these repairs, so don't write it off as a respray job just yet, you'd be surprised what they can do.
