    Default Clunking under braking/acceleration

    Hi,
Got a worrying problem with my 53 plate 2.0 DTI. Its gott 88 thou on the clock, and has just passed its MOT. Had to replace the 2 front springs, so i went for a full set of stiffer springs, 30mm lowering PI's. Handled like a dream, for about 2K.

All of a sudden, after the glorious ice and snow, i've had a few problems
    1) vibration in clutch when depressed, or when very light pressure applied
    2) brake pedal vibrates when braking 'firmly' (had wheels off, pads done about 6K ago, good 7-8mm left, discs spin free, no binding, no sticky calipers, no warped discs, no heat staining, no deep grooves)
3)Knocking noise when going over sharp bumps (checked springs, all bolts still torqued up, all ball joints OK, etc etc)
4)Engine sounding TERRIBLE. Yeah, its diesel, but a friend at work has same engine, and his is a lot quieter than mine, always has been. Recently, (last 1500-2000 miles) you can really hear the engine, and when hard acellerating, you can hear a deep roar, (see this video, at 59seconds - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QaQVkjFwPb8)

Hope you can help, cuz i'm skint, and worried!

Nice video! Don't want to worry you but the last time I heard a roaring/grinding noise like that it was the cam chain tensioner. Alas not cheap.
