    Default Dead locking issues

My V6 Signum design has had a string of replacement parts recently relating to heater control and I am getting really sick of the dealer.

The Signum and all Vectra C's have dead locking which is activated by 2 key presses - right or wrong ?? I am convinced mine had this prior to the last £550 I deposited in the VX dealers piggy bank.

1/ Well now 1 press locks the car but no response to the second press (I am sure I got a indicator light acknowledgement before) if inside the car you can unlock the door with the handle.

2/ Alarm should be set on the second press but is set on mine after 1 press.

3/ The tailgate auto locking feature no longer functions i.e. you can open it any time the vehicle is unlocked.

Dealers response Tech 2 tells us this feature is not available on your car, not all vehicles have this feature !

Please someone tell me I am right and they are wrong.

P.S. Things went haywire when they replaced the Body Control Module

To make me even more happy they charged £45 to set the lights to Zenon

They have definetly done something wrong or the BCM is faulty. Take it back and tell them since they repaired the car it is behaving strangely and if they dont believe you tell them to contact VX technical support where someone who knows what they are talking about will tell them how to solve the problem. If all else fails contact vx customer services yourself.

Firstly, have you activated single press full unlock?

If so, single press will unlock all doors and boot from the locked state. To lock, first press locks all doors and turns off number plate light (after slight pause), second press deadlocks - ie if the window i left open and you dead lock, lifting the lock button on the door wil NOT allow the door to be opened from either inside or outside.

Indicators illuminate on all of these presses, ie flash once to lock, flash once to dead lock, and flash once to unlock.

Mine is 04, so prefacelift, but that is how it operates.
