    Default twitchy signum

is it just me or does anyone else find the signum twitchy in the corners? im guessing it might be because its 40ft long though, or is there something underlying? going to be lowering and changing the aloys, whats the best combo, eg lowered 40 on 18's etc.

Also it wheel spins like a mofo, just put brand new rubber on the front and its still going. been putting it down to greasy roads.

and finally, will vxr pads and discs fit the signum 2.0T or is there different calipers etc

    opinions greatly appreciated

    Marty

    hi mate,

also running a 2.0turbo - depends on the corner and speed entry etc
siggys aren'nt renowned for their cornering abilities, but then if you get yourself a copy of police roadcraft manual and drive to the system of bend assesments vanishing points and ease and squeeze, you will find you CAN drive faster and smoother and your cornering WILL improve !

My cars a bit twitchy at the moment on corners, but that because I've got play in my rear suspension bushes and control arms, so I need to get that sorted soon. I've just ordered these - http://www.potn.co.uk/p1253990.htm - Hopefully these will improve the ride. I have the design, which is 15mm lowered from the elite etc. To fit VXR equipment, you will need new calipers if your going bigger than the 302mm standard on the Signum 2.0T as the VXR's are 340mm or something like that, or do you mean the GSI spec 314mm? If so, either way, its new caalipers, carriers, discs etc...

I've only used VX own brand brakes and discs. So cant advise you on that one. I've heard that grooved discs are quite good?

    Hey Marty,
Imagine another Marty Celtic man on the threads!!!! My Signum is also a little twitchy but I put it down to them not being particularly happy scudding around bends. I agree with Bobby though.... get your springs checked.... mine broke on Monday and I've since found out they are renound for this.
    Mon the hoops!
