    Default Cruise control Issue

    Hi all,

I am having some trouble with my Cruise Control on a 54 Vectra CDTI SRI. I have replaced the clutch pedal spring and the indicator stalk (Both brand new parts) but it is still intermittent. Sometimes it will work sometimes it won't. I even tried contact cleaner on the switch.

It sometimes disengages when i hit a bump in the road of cats eyes or when i indicate to change lanes.

I have tried pressing the clutch and brake pedals to see if the switches are set too close but you have to really depress the pedals to switch it off.

Someone suggested it could be a vehicle speed sensor?? Where is this and how would i check it? I have also read that it could be the CIM module? can this be checked or reset?

Does anyone have any ideas of what it may be or what i can check? Or where i could take it to be checked / diagnosed? Can Vauxhall diagnose the problem?

    Thanks.

Seem to have a similar issue with mine (same car too) was working fine on the way to work today at 4pm, on the way home at 11pm didn't want to know, just been out again, tried it, and is working fine, I don't use it much, its annoying when its there and doesn't work.

I did think the clutch pedal seemed a bit higher than normal, but this would be pressure off the switch rather than on which would mean the pedal would be lower, I'll have a look in the morning, don't want to upset the neighbours (any more) my messing about now, Thanks mate.
