I'm no mechanic but i watched my mate (who is) do mine a couple of weeks ago. He took O/S front wheel off and one of the splash gaurds so he could get at it. The airbox came off, then windscreen wipers so that he could get at the bolts holding the fuel filter on under the plastic vent. He just moved the filter out of the way didn't disconnect any pipes. Then brought the old alternator up from the back of the engine and vice versa. Not a job i fancy but it took him about an hour. Hope this helps. He disconnected the battery aswell and i didn't need to put the code back in the radio it worked as normal.
