A former colleague of mine was arrested for Possessing Cannbis with intent to Supply after being stopped last year in his own car.

Now a serving police officer doing that is not good!

He pleaded not guilty at his Magistrates Hearing and case was sent to Crown Court for trial.

He changed his plea and went Guilty.

Yesterday, for the Offence of Posession with intent to Supply, he was sentenced to..........

Wait for it.........



















18 month suspended sentence!!!!



Being in a position of trust, he should have been jailed for this.

Makes me son angry.

This doesn't surprise me at all, the sentencing for most crimes in this country are just not suitable to be any kind of deterrent.

Do you think he would have been sentenced differently if he'd been an unemployed average 20 year old Joe bloggs ?

Being in the position he was in, I think an example should have been made of him.
The lad he was caught with was sentenced to 2 yrs in prison for the same offence.
He'll lose his job, but the info that he had access to is invaluable in certain hands if you know what i mean

Although i haven't read the article, the fact that his co accused/defendant has been sentenced differently is a total sham, & i like you think being in the Met he should have been made an example of.

Just got off the phone to a girl i work with. Apparently he laughed when he was sentenced and laughted when he walked out of court a free man!
