    Default To cut or not to cut......

    right as you may know i dropped the veccy lastnite,and have now done over 110miles and had it loaded up with poop for the tip.problem is it aint sat level the rear is still well up.now would you lads just chop out half a coil at a time to get it level?????? i did this before on my vec b v6 and it worked a treat.

    have checked with a few surpliers and for some reason they wont supply just a pair of rear springs? whats that all about.

    i would chop a coil off m8, they cant go any where the way there fitted on the vec

    ps, dont go mad....as my old dad says, ''you can always take a bit more off but you cant put a bit back on''

    thats what i thought,to be honest i dont really want to see any tyre at the top of the rear arch.

    Good chance of failing an MOT with an observant mechanic if you cut the springs. Surely they won't seat properly either?

    i'd be wary of doing something like cutting a spring to be honest, think if something nasty happened and you spun on a wet road it into some kiddy on a bike, for example, or some old dear crossing the road. the investigators would pull the car to bits looking for anything, and even if such an incident was nothing to do with suspension, they'd pin it on that - and would the insurance company want to know you? does the pope poo in the woods?
