Bulb Replacement light on when lights off?? Help!!

Hi All

New to this site and would love some knowledge on this subject.
I have my bulb replacement light that keeps coming on when my lights are off. The light seems to be coming on in a random order, no consistancy. However as soon as I turn my lights on the bulb replacement light goes out.

Unsure on how to resove this.

You don't have HiDs do you..?

This is what my HiDs did when I first fitted them, I need to get the cancellers to stop it. But if you don't have HiDs then I'll shut up and go sit in the corner

Mine had a similar issue the other day...My sidelight stopped working so i turned the lights off (it was quite light anyway) and the bulb replacement light stayed on. When i turned the engine on later that day the warning light wasn''t only off but the sidelight had started working again.

Does anyone know if that light come on constantly when the brake light fails?

i,m sure i read somewhere that the bulb warning light will come on when the filament is near to the end of its life....ppl have cked their bulbs and found them to be ok ..but a week or two later the bulb fails ...

That would make sense as not long after the problem started I had a main headlight bulb go. However all the lights seem to work at present. What I can't understand is why the light only comes on when the lights are off!!!

the car checks the bulbs evey few seconds so if you get the bulb out error come up you can push the end of you wiper stalk (like you would to select something from screen menu) and it will go away but in aprox 5-10 secs time it will come back when its checked that bulb again. as some one has said if your bulb is actually working then its more than likely due to go anytime soon.
