2nd year Serice 1.8vvti

I have just have just had the 'your service is due' warning come up on dash so called local dealer and they have said it will be £222 including brake fluid change which they say they recomend doing after 2 years. I gather from the service book the 2 year service is a mian service so thought that price sounded pretty reasonable especially for a main dealer, what do you guys think is that about right?!

sounds about right to me, think the 3rd year is a bit cheaper..have you priced round with other dealers ?

What do they actually do on the 2nd service, apart from oil, oil filter?

Sounds about right but my brother in law does mine and stamps my book at his garage for alot less, not an advertisment but I don't want to pay main dealers prices for nothing more than an oil change. Adam were you driving out of Witney towards standlake this morning?

Seems a bit dear to me, I paid £190 all in for second service on a diesel Mk5 Astra. I'd expect a petrol Vectra to be cheaper.

I was in a crappy dark blue corsa coming the other way. Just don't see many vecs that colour, nice looking car.

My second service on my 1.8 vvt was 172 quid at the stealers. For that I got oil/filter, plugs, fuel filter, and air filter.
they didnt touch the coolant as they said the concentration was still ok.
If you are going to the stealers, make sure you ask them what oil they intend to use, mine used 10w-40, and I complained to GM before they called me back for another oil change. No apology nothing. When I went back to GM to voice my disatisfaction they gave me a voucher...............yipeee dooo......

Ah I thought I would have noticed your vectra so that explains!! Thanks for the comment, I must admit I am still loving it having owned for almost a year now!!

Interesting to see the other comments regards service costs, not sure if I am allowed to say but that was Belllingers in Grove who quoted me, maybe I will give Hartwells a call, its just that Grove works for me as I can drop offon way to work! I guess I am bound by the stealers at the moment to keep the warranty valid or am I wrong on that one?!
