    Default Help seat belt warning light

    Hi driving into work this morning my seat belt light came on and the beeper started going off for no reason. tryed ejecting belt and re fitting but still beeping.has this happened to anyone else and how can it be fixed?
    any help would be great the beeper is doing my head in.

    driver side or passenger side? It works with a switch in the base of the seat. If you had something heavy on the seat that might set it off.
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    There must be a switch inside the buckle which signals the seat belt is fastened. The most likely cause is the connector under the seat is not connecting properly. Try disconnecting / reconnecting this connector which may solve the problem. This connector also causes trouble with the pre-tensioners usualy when the seat has been adjusted.

    I also believe it can be tech 2'd off
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    is this a main dealer job to have it switched off or dose anyone know somewhere in wolverhampton where i can get it done?

    no need , if you dont want it to illuminate on the dash just unplug it under the seat. I woulkd disconnect the battery for 15 mins first , just in case you set off an air bag
    I came accross this by accident when i replaced my interior , the new seats i have put in dont have the extra connector , and i dont get the warning symbol now.
