Default Maybe a new car !

Been in talks with the wife about getting a new or probably nearly new car in a few months time .

We are just waiting now for the compensation payout from accident to come through .

Ive been looking at a Vectra estate , the 3.0 diesel do they do these in estate form and sri trim ?

It must be white though . What are these monsters like on town driving mpg ?

If anyone spots one in their travels let me know .

In my opinion matey, I'd go for the 1.9 CDTi 120 or 150 if it's being used as a taxi, for obvious reasons.

Plus, I think you'd be hard pushed to find a used White Estate SRi 3.0 V6 CDTi apart from the usual ex police ones.

    Vehicle : Vectra Estate

    Trim : Elite

    Engine : 3.2 V6

    Year : 04

    Mileage : 000

    Default

Go for a 3.2V6 I get about 22 mpg around town, if you do the same mileage in that as you did in the one you,v got it will cost a fortune in fuel, but fun to drive.

The official figures put the 3.0 @ 2 miles per gallon less than a 1.9 on the urban, combi is roughly the same, for me and Capriman the only true way of knowing is to do a sim shift by heading into the traffic and stopping it for 5 mins every 20.

Arnt the 3.0 diesels smoother than the 1.9s though ?

I used to about 4 years ago drive a Cavalier 2.5 V6 manual , so damned smooth and effortless , I know it was a petrol..........Just thinking the 6 potters would be smoother and maybe stronger in compareson to the 4 cyls .
