Default Is this a MOT failure? *PIC HEAVY*

Was out cleaning the car this morning and noticed this wear on my tyres... its on all the NCT5's ... Looked at a few pics online of these tyres and i have not seen this sort of wearing etc...

So my question is... is it a MOT failure?
And if its not normal any idea on how it happened?

Yeah they were the best pics i could grab.

Ive only done 600-800 miles on them since i bought the car from the stealers...

I am going to take them to the tyre place 2moro and see what they say... then get them changed by the stealer if they are in need of changing etc etc (which i think they are just need to confirm)

If they are wearing abnormally quick on the outside they have been under inflated , and vice versa - wear on the centre is over inflation .
Or the tracking / toe settings are way out .

Does your digital camera have a flower symbol?
If so, use that for closeups

The tread pattern looks to be correct
Personally, I would put the car in WITH the tyres as they are
Providing that are legal and undamaged, then the tester can only issue an improvement notice
Equally, get some quotes for two new tyres, and if they do fail then get them to price match those quotes

The mot isnt untill sept.... its more the fact that the vx dealer sold them to me like this...

I was under the impression that if ANY area of the tyre was under 1.6mm it was illegal etc etc

An improvement notice? Do you mean an advisory notice.

Pics are bad but the law on tyres says, a minimum of 1.6mm of remaining tread depth, across the central 75% of the width of the tyre and continuing around the complete circumference of the tyre. The remaining 25% (ie the outer edges) must have visible tread

    Ive got some better pics...

Its basically a 'band' that runs right round the outside of the tyre. its on all the tyres.
