    Default Fiberglass sub box

    Hi my plan is to build a sub/amp install like this one



    One problem, Im not sure how

    Can anyone give advice on:

    making the mold, tools etc
    getting it smooth to paint

    if you dont know how to do it mate i would not even try it , as it is very hard to get the finish right , get someone who can do it to do it or just stick with wooden boxes

    keep the bubs low power one and you be ok you start to put over 500 rms in the and you will crack it to bits

    it will cost you a bomb to do it id stick with 3/4 berch ply

    think you'd still have to box the sub, and use that as a fascia

    my mate had one built, i was going to try and find you some pics at various stages of the build but seem to have loast them. i doesnt matter what power the subs are as they go in side an MDF box and the fibreglass is just a facia as lump said .people who know what they are doing make it look very easy and if you have worked with fibrglass before then i proberly would be. i personally wouldnt try it.

    Thanks for your replies; I think I’ll have a go. I found some how 2's they make it look so easy!? I suppose the people who are good at it must have started somewhere, Ill get pics etc of my masterpiece (or horrible mess) incase anyone’s interested.
