    Default car troubles

    Hey guys

as some of you may know i have been having problems with the alarm on my car and have been without it for the last 4+ weeks

Got phonecall from the dealer this morning to say my car was ready so jamp in the hire car all exited and made my way up to the garage(2 hour drive). Arrived everything was fine checked the car over for dings etc incase it had been bumped while away, handed over the hire car saying how glad i was to get rid of the rubbish car(astra estate 1.6 life).
Had to fill the car up with diesel so nipped up to the garage about 1/2 mile up the road, filled up then went to pay...as i was paying the woman at the desk said you alarm is going off...i laughed and said nope just been fixed .
Oh how wrong i was..car flashing away at me when i went out the door at this point i was about to explode with rage...started the car up the engine management light came on and the traction control light stayed on too ....

So the car is back in the garage and im back in the horrible hire car again. Must admit im at my wits end now with this car, so the rest of my afternoon is going to be spent writing letters to everyone that i can think of.....

    Whats Tony Blairs address again???

They are probably taking the fuel out that you put in to rub salt in.

Get them to put in writting the extend of the work/testing. V/X garages on the whole do poor work and I know some of the things they get upto when your away.

I would never use V/X for anything except buying parts.

I know some of you know good V/X garages and I would say that you are very lucky.

Sorry to say this but im going to start the ball rolling tomorrow with regard to rejecting the vehicle.

All i want is a car that works and they cant deliver at the moment, cant really give the garage a hard time as they have been really good throughout. Their next step is to get a Vauxhall field agent to come and sort the car, if that dont work its back to the factory with it..

If I could I would reject the bl00dy thing. How long have you owned it? To have it off the road for a month is totally unacceptable.

Sorry to hear the problems with your car, I too would be fumeing if that happened to me,but it makes it more difficult for you if the garage is doing its best for you, as someone said maybe it is time to get in touch with vx, perhaps the garage will back you up, I hope they get it sorted to your satisfaction soon, It is along drive two hours, and then find the car is no better....all the best anyway, fingers crossed.
