    Default steering wheel

I have a 05 prefacelift vectra, i would like to change the steering wheel to a facelift one. Can anyone tell me if this is possible without any problems and will i still have use of the controls and horn? i know i will also need the airbag.

    thanks

Your car should be full canbus (roller wheels steering controls), so as long as the airbag plugs are the same then you should be able to change without a problem.

You would need the facelift airbag too.

if you have the button type wheel which you should have then no you cant as there will be incompatibilty issues between the airbags and the steering wheel

Yes think your gonna have problems , the prefacelift is half canbus , and facelift is full canbus , as far as I'm aware.
I've had a few people ask about the leather wheel I'm selling , and alot have the facelift , hence I advise against risking it .
As mentioned the differences are steering wheel controls ie - push buttons , or scroll wheels.

It will all be down to what steering wheel controls you have. If you have got the wheels you should be fine as it will be full canbus. There were pre-facelifts that were full canbus.

This thread details some of the problems I had trying to fit a facelift wheel to a pre-facelift full canbus Vectra. I gave up in the end (some electronic jiggery pokery is needed to retain the steering wheel controls and horn) although I believe others have managed to find some solutions. HTH

thanks for the replies, i have the wheel type controls so might give it a go or possibly wait for a bit longer and get some more funds together and try and get the irmscher wheel from lmf.
