Default Are reversing sensors affected by tow bar ?

Does anyone know whether fitting a tow bar will affect the reversing sensors in the bumper ?

The answer is yes they can depending on the type of bar fitted and where the sensors are. If you have a switch to turn off the sensors then you can live with it.

If you have the Vx factory fit sensors and fit a towbar with the Vx electrics module, then the reverse sensors will automatically be disabled when you plug into the towbar.

As above, without anything attached the towbar shouldn't, but 'may' be sensed - all depending on how the towbar has been attached and how they sensors have been fitted if they're aftermarket.

    Vehicle : Insignia 2.0

    Default

Fitted the Cisbo sensors with the Towbar on an 07 Sri and used the sensor locations on the inside of the bumper and no Poblems.
had to drop the towbar to get the bumper off
