Cats Eyes
I was driving back from my accountants a few days back along the A444 and noticed that the cats eyes in the middle of the road were illuminated by themselves.... this went on for a couple of miles... and then resorted back to the 'reflective' standard ones.
Looked really weird seeing them dissapear into the night ahead of me... all lit up bright white 'LED' style...
Anyone else seen them?
yes got some around here, I read they will become more common and replace alot of street lighting on rural and major roads, meant to be safer and cheaper than the streetlights?
how long b4 the lorries smash them ? .still waiting for the cats eyes to be replaced down the main drag from the old infill site ....theres about half a mile where they have been busted by the heavy lorries
these were first trialed on a12 near colchester. work fine. they never fail. they flash believe it or not. they flash so qiuck you cant tell. was in a local paper because some woman said it triggered her epi fits. Case got thrown out. they are so much safer n better than normal cats eyes.

Maybe I was travelling at a critical 'stobing' speed........ looked like I was going backwards
Feel like a pilot landing a plane if ya turn ya lights on to side lights lol
