Can anyone on here confirm which clutch the Vauxhall Vectra VXR has.
Specifically the 2007 280bhp model
Cheers
(I've been told that it may use a single mass flywheel clutch?)

Just read this on honest John
2007 model year versions of the Vectra VXR had power boosted from 255PS to 280PS, thanks to a redesigned induction system, modified engine components and retuned electronic engine control software. 0-60mphdown to 6.1 seconds for the hatchback and 6.3 seconds for the estate. Chassis also tweaked to give more dynamic handling. Modified spring and shock absorber settings and correspondingly retuned IDSPlus2 chassis control software is said to optimise the pitch, roll and turn-in characteristics to make the most of the increased performance without ruining the Vectra VXR’s impressive refinement. The difference between the normal chassis setting and the Sport setting, which is activated by the dashboard-mounted Sport Switch, has been further increased. This engine sounds wonderful and the car is quite a good performance package.

Got loads more data on the Vectra-C as well...
Hope you don't need a new clutch before the MLR 30 - 130 What time do you think you will do it in and what top speed?
A few inaccuracies in that review.
You shouldn't be last cause their are three alfa's running, they will be lucky to get any where near 130 before they break down, and also a golf gti. Time wise I would of thought you should be in the low 30sec possible late 20 sec bracket. Top speed not sure either but best of luck you will have a great day.
Sorry if you think i'm hijacking this thread but i was just wondering if you could help me out by offering your opinion.
How reliable is the Vectra VXR?
I'm seriously considering getting rid of my 55 plate cdti sri as it's developed numerous problems over the last 3 months. Luckily my warranty was still valid in December when the clutch and DMF had to be replaced.
Well, I can go from a standing start to 100 mph (proven at Santa Pod) in 14.3 seconds... so assuming it takes me 2.5 seconds to get to 30 mph (due to traction) then the remaining 12 seconds would be from 30-100. So as you say Voxer, around 12 seconds from 30 to 100... then I'm in 4th gear which pulls like 3rd gear... so how many seconds from 100 to 130 mph ?? - answer = dont know, as I've never timed it.
I would guess at low to mid 20's from 30-130mph... which shouldnt be too bad (but I may be waaaaay to optimistic)
Also, I've seen some of the cars I'm up against... and I dont think I'm gonna win somehow - lol
Lambourghini LP640
EVO VIII = 30-130 in 15.94 seconds
EVO V GRS = 514 BHP and 470 Lb/ft
EVO IX GT = 752 BHP and 662 Lb/ft
EVO = 580 BHP and 478 Lb/ft
EVO = 500 BHP and 490 Lb/ft
EVO = 523 BHP and 30-130 in 10.1 seconds
60 cars in total attending..... ... and I could be the slowest
Hasnt broke yet... 2 years old now
