Radio still works with ignition off

As title just noticed today when i turn off the car and remove keys radio goes off but if i press the radio back on it comes on again.I thought when the keys were removed the radio shouldn't turn back on

it does turn back on - just in case you are waiting in your car for someone and want to listen to music for instance... it automatically shuts off after about 15 mins too - just in case you left it on by 'accident'

I always thought you had to have the key in ignition and turn to first position for radio to work lol
Pressed it today as i think normally with keys out it just flashes the TID screen up so you can see the time

The radio will always work if you turn it on with or without the ignition being on. What you can programme though is whether it comes on automatically with the ignition....or not. It's in the manual.
