    Default Speedo?

    Vectra C facelift

Can anyone confirm that the speedo reads about 8 - 9% more than the actual speed ? I know its normal in most cars but as I am new to VX I just need it confirming or not.

    Thanks

Mine reads slightly high too, as will the vast majority of cars, if not all. Wouldn't say it is 8-9% though, and the variation between real and indicated speed will vary at different speeds.

Best thing is to get a sat nav that displays speed and go off that.

Mines out by about 2 or 3 mph if my speedo says 70 my GPS SAT NAV says 67-68 as long as its that way and not under estimating the speed you will be ok

it is law that the speedo must over read by a max of 10%,the speedo must not under read so you can have a speedo that reads 75mph doing a genuine 70mph but not a speedo that reads 70mph but doing a gunuine 75mph
