option 1 - Change the atf fluid and sensors , fingers crossed .

Option 2 - get a second hand box , bit risky as the ecu may not pair upto it , and it may go pete tonge like the original box as well after a few month.

option 3 - break the car , then with the funds replace it with a motor with a manual box .
I speak from experience , don't make the same mistake as me , and keep "wishin it fixed" it won't happen , move on and learn from the experience.
They are uneconomical to repair given the value of these cars at the moment , nobody wants to touch the boxes with a bargepole .
I know I may sound negative , but I've just been through all this the last 6 months .
Good luck whichever way you decide to go .

Well , in my opinion anyone who buys an autobox after all the problems on here has one , or all of the following 3 things .
    1 - Bottomless wallet.
2 - Super duper all singing all dancing warranty.
    3 - Brain damage .

Muller - was this diagnosed at a VX stealer? If, and I'm not sure on this one, the turbine speed sensor is the same part as the input/output speed sensors, then VX are/were aware of a problem. Have pasted the following from a mate of mine at VX:

    Field Remedy: 1685

Subject:AF23/33 transmission - Malfunction of automatic transmissionModels:Engines:Option:Vectra-C 2002...2004,Signum 2003...2004Z22SE| Z32SE| Y22DTR,Z22YH| Z32SE| Y22DTR| Y30DTAF23/33 TransmissionComplaint:No or incorrect shifting function. DTC P0700, P0715, P0720 (separate or together) stored.Cause:Faulty transmission input/output speed sensors signal due to moisture inside the sensor.Production:Grease application on speed sensor plug as of transmission No: 03MV735125 (06.January 2004).
    Remedy:

In case of customer complaint install new sensor and apply grease on the sensor plug to avoid moisture ingress. If the failure reoccurs please also refer to TSB 1650.
    Part: Part-No.: Cataloge-No.:Grease 09163339 19 48 877Sensor 93173888 62 38 259

Doesn't sound like you've water in the box, again see VX field remedy below:

    Field Remedy: 1650

Subject:AF23/33 transmission - No driving torque because of cooling water in transmission oilModels:Engines:Option:Vectra-C 2002...2004,Signum 2003...2004Z22SE| Z32SE| Y22DTR,Z22YH| Z32SE| Y22DTRAF23/33 TransmissionComplaint:Loss of the transmission functionality in isolated cases. The following symptoms may occur occasionally: - failure codes P0700, P0715 or P0720 set - slight loss of cooling water - sediments in coolant expansion tankCause:Improper function of the sealring at the oil cooler conncetion. This can cause the penetration of a little quantity of cooling fluid into transmission oil.Production:An improved oil cooler/radiator has been introduced in production as of VIN W0L0ZCF3541042598 (Rüsselsheim) and VIN W0L0ZCF6848035197 (Ellesmereport).
    Remedy:

In case of customer complaint proceed as follows:If only DTC P0700, P0715 or P0720 is stored please carry out TSB 1685. Open the black cover of the valve body on the transmission housing carefully. If water and/or white sediments are found in the cover the transmission has to be replaced together with the oil cooler/radiator assembly.

According to the owners service book, VX say the auto box oil is changed every 40k miles or 4 years, whichever is sooner. This procedure is often overlooked by the Stealer - mine wasn't changed unit 65k miles and, although I didn't have your problems, the smoothness of the gear changes was much better with no clunking.

I changed the oil on my GSi auto for £40, simple enough job to do.

There are other threads on the forum with a similar problem to yours but I can't have a look at the moment (work calls).

Hope the above helps before shelling out £1000's.
