vectra b radiator fan

in no its not a vectra c or a signum but i need help the fan has started ratling today im not too happy, going to buy another but what i would like to know is how hard are they to fit?.. im not realy a spanner man but im not scared of having a go. this might sound a silly question but do i need to take the radiator off to do it?

From what I can remember when I replaced the Radiator in what is now my wifes Vectra B. It is not too difficult. There is a plug in the wiring loom for the electrics to the fan, that needs to be disconected. Then there are four nuts (might be bolts) that hold the fan assenbly to the radiator, remove them and the fan assembly should lift away. Providing you have the right toools to undo the four nuts (bolts) then it should not take you too long, but it has been a while since I removed mine. I you are still not too confident to give it a try I will have another look tomorrow when it is light. Give me a shout if you need any more info".
PS you do not need to remove the radiator, the fan assembly is fixed to the radiator.
