    To put a new one in does it need to be tech 2'd??

    to chane over a set of clocks you dont need anything tech 2 ed to make them work but diesels redline at 5000 rpm

    prefacelift have a display in them to show you doors or boot open not just a red light

    When you say clocks do you mean the whole instrument? i.e. including odometer. I thought if you stuck in the instruments from another car you'll have the odometer reading of the new instruments? - and that to reset the odometer on tech 2 the clocks had to have done less than 50(?) miles for you to be able to enter a new odometer reading.

    Just the speedo panel, petrol gauge etc. They have 31k on them, ive got a new engine in with 31k, so is it just a swap??

    i've changed my speedo last week(my car is a 2.2 elegance)and fitted a speedo in from a 3.2 gsi.Straight swap....
