Default 5 speed Vs 6 speed

What is the 6 speed gearbox on the VXR like?

I was wondering if the 6sp is generally better or worse than the 5?
On cold mornings from 1st to 2nd can get quite bad with the 5 speed box on my Direct and sometimes crunches.

This only applies if the hydraulics have been bled and the cables are adjusted correctly.

    Field Remedy: 1653

In case of customer complaint the sliding gear has to be replaced by using the Repair Kit, Partno.: 9201451 / Catalogno.: 16 07 013. There is no need to replace the entire transmission.

Think most of them do it to some degree.

my 1.9cdti does not crunch in any gear (unless i forget to push the clutch down lol) but i do find the change very slightly notchy in that you do feel a slight resistance when you put the car in gear or change gear, never had a problem selecting a gear

I have been to the dealers with the FR printout Rushy but it doesn't apply to my car, not in the right build range or something.

Its not a major problem, just a bit annoying sometimes on really cold mornings. It may be going soon anyway if I get lucky.
